The aim of this study is to explore and assess if and how the needs for eInfrastructure in the government, health and training and education sectors can be met in a coordinated way as well as possible options to exploit it. It should especially take into account the experience and the lessons learned from the deployment of eInfrastructure in the research sector for deployment in other sectors.

This assessment study is aiming at identifying the impact of a wider adoption of IPv6 on the EU industries, service providers, users and citizens in different markets and ultimately its impact on EU competitiveness in line with the Lisbon Agenda. The Study will also provide recommendations guidance for further policy action.

The subject of the Contract is to provide a reliable overview of the situation in Europe concerning Digital Repositories of eScience information, data and knowledge. To achieve that, the Contractor will interface relevant scientific communities in different Member States and analyse their approach in developing Digital Repositories of experimental data sets, journals, theses and associated information. An important aspect of the study will be to collect information and analyse the degree of interoperability of the different approaches and technologies and study possible scenarios to build upon common requirements and synergies so that a layer of Digital Repositories can develop as part of the European Research e-Infrastructure.

The study's objective is to show the level of awareness about intelligent vehicle systems in the different Member States among government departments, industry, other stakeholders and, above all, consumers and citizens. The study should also report on the actions which have been taken in the Member States to raise the level of awareness and to promote the use of intelligent vehicles systems, compare the diverging results and make targeted recommendations for further awareness-raising and promotional activities.

The overall objective of the study is to provide factual information on the state of play of the teaching of entrepreneurship in European higher education institutions, both in quantitative terms (e.g. number of Chairs, courses, professors and students involved, etc.) and in qualitative terms (pedagogical tools used, identified main obstacles, indicators and criteria of best practice, etc.). Specific objectives include: a) to assess in quantitative terms the presence of entrepreneurship courses and programmes in European higher education institutions; b) to identify strengths and weaknesses in European higher education institutions, as regards offering entrepreneurship teaching; c) to investigate the most common teaching methods currently in use, and the most innovative ones, and identify best practice in delivering entrepreneurship education at this level; d) to highlight the role of public policies and identify relevant measures of support; e)to draw conclusions and recommendations for policy action.

This study will focus on how globalisation affects the way companies are operating and how they can respond to it in a beneficial way by establishing new collaborative working environments driven by strong technological integration, uptake and usage of ICT, thereby extending European business possibilities even for very small companies. Funding opportunities :: call for proposals

The general objective of this grant theme is to support and facilitate the exchange of best policy practices between e-business policy makers and/or SME support networks. The duration of actions co-financed under this grant theme is estimated to be around six months. The ultimate beneficiaries of this action are the European SMEs, which would be allowed to better understand e-business processes, improve their skills and participate in e-business networks.

The Safer Internet plus programme aims to promote safer use of the Internet and new online technologies, particularly for children, and to fight against illegal content and content unwanted by the end-user. A new call for proposals will be launched in 2006. The Work Programme 2006 and the call for proposals are now online as drafts. The provisional date for publication of the final versions is July 2006. The provisional deadline for receipt of proposals will 29 September 2006.
